Tim Dougherty joined Alpha West Marketing in 1983. Tim got his start in the pool industry as a teenager building pools, a job that he continued with throughout his college years. This start gave Tim a real working knowledge of the needs of our customers on a day-to-day basis.
When the pool industry began to grow in the ’80s, Tim Dougherty and Paul Matthews saw a great need for strong manufacturer representation to help the many new retail stores, construction companies, and wholesale distributors adjust to the changing pool industry. The Alpha West team not only understood those businesses’ needs but also understood how our manufacturer’s pool products needed to be used and promoted in this emerging marketplace.
Over the decades, as Alpha West grew, we fostered our trusted relationships and partnerships with pool industry manufacturers, distributors, and pool & spa professionals. We work hard as active problem solvers, instructional selling advisors and provide product knowledge expertise to all ends of the industry.
Tim Dougherty was one of Alpha West Marketing’s original team members and proudly served as President of Alpha West through 2019. Tim now serves Alpha West Marketing group as a valued consultant.
