Paul Matthews is president and owner of the Alpha West Marketing Group, he oversees all of the operations of the group.

Paul comes from a background of construction in Boston, Massachusetts, where he drove sales and estimated pool, hot tub, and residential construction projects. Paul and his young family moved to California in 1985 and began a new venture as the California regional manager for Leisure Time Chemicals. Paul joined Ron Dawes and Tim Dougherty at Alpha West Marketing in 1986 as the southwest regional manager. He was responsible for sales and company growth in California, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, Colorado, and New Mexico. Paul and Time went on to purchase Alpha West Marketing Group in January 2000.

As an independent representative of the pool and spa industry, Paul has always believed that it is about building and nurturing trusted relationships. Problem-solving is a big part of that relationship and trust-building. In his spare time, Paul enjoys boating, skiing, and weekends at the beach with his wife, son, daughter and her family. He also has a wonderful granddaughter, and she is in complete control of him.
